  40. Good on going discussion guys/girls.

  42. 1.  Many complain about their penmanship.  Looks like to me you can kill two birds
  43.     with one stone.  Get a book on penmanship (they still write those don't they?).
  44.     Find the best style to copy and work on penmanship at the same time.
  45.  
  46. 2.  Start with cursive, don't DON'T print.
  47.  
  48. 3.  Practice not dotting i's and j's and don't cross the t's.  This will come in
  49.     handy later at higher speeds.
  50.  
  51. 4.  Use only half the horizontal width of the page.
  52.  
  53. 5.  Write small, remember  t=d/v, where t is the time to write a critter, d is the
  54.     distance pen/pencil must move, and v is the velocity at which you can move the
  55.     pen/pencil over the writing surface.  Use ballpoint, not pencil.  Pencil drags
  56.     too much.  I hate ballpoint, as i am OF and prefer fountain pen, but I use ballpoint
  57.     for copying code up to 40 or 45 wpm, if i must write it down.

  59. I leave it as an exercise for the student to determine why each of the above is logical.
  60.  
  61. P.S.  Someone complained that writing required you needed to know the next critter.
  62.       If I remember correctly, it really doesn't matter.  Maybe that's why you should
  63.       copy behind.  :-)

  145. In the recent issues of QST, a company called Optoelectronics is advertising 
  146. test equipment for radios. One of the product is described as radio interceptor
  147.  
  148. What is this device used for ? I am asking this because, the advertisment says 
  149. it has applications in surveillance, and the equipment is supposed to be some
  150. kinf of test equipment.
  151.  
  152. Hope someone here can explain the use of the equipment to me. Thanks.
